No stat matters in CTA. Wins/losses are simply a product of the teams which are now a product of the rating system. In all of my losses, you could replace me with almost any player and he would still lose (maybe every player). Damage and fragging stats hold some weight but only to distinguish the absolute dogshit from the rest. Nobody good will have terrible damage or fragging stats (unless they exclusively play maps that require mass blocking like fister); however, some bad players will have good damage and fragging stats with a playing style that may not be conducive to winning.

+1 to updating your list as often as possible

I'm tired of playing against decent 1300s (emb) with absolutely terrible ones to match them on my team. The only solution is for people to constantly update their list.

Edit/clarification: no stat matters in determining if x player is better than y player on a consistent basis

Top dd is huge... Anyone who says otherwise is an idiot. Damage ratio means nothing.. The best players are continuously putting pressure and receiving more damage. For example .. Tobiashi will attack all game long his damage will be 25k in a game and his damage received will b 23k.. Most dd in game.. ReV on the other hand who always attacks consistently as well has 5k damage and 24k damage received.

When you have players that can actually put pressure on the other team without stat padding and win consistently dd is a huge factor.

It is an unreliable statistic though. Sure in a perfect world where everyone played to the team's objective 100% of the time, it may be more relevant. Even then though players performing different roles in different maps are going to have varying damage statistics.

Dealing the most damage CAN be an indication of being the most influential player on your team, however it is just as likely(if not more) to be the result of a player performing a certain role in the game, or adopting a cetain playing style that allows for more damage to be dealt. Neither of these things gaurantees that said person is the the best(or even close to) player on their team.

I disagree. The common theme among most of the top players is that they consistently exert a great deal of DD. There is a reason why Tobiashi is #1 and much of that is because no one gets close to him in DD in any game.

Tobias isnt ranked #1 solely because of his damage output lol. That may be a small contributor, the fact that he can deal damage. The main thing is how he gets objectives done.

"damage ratio means nothing"

..Immediately points to a statistic contrary

In theory win % should indicate whether player is overrated or underrated.
