Default DHT settings implemented in servers

With new Dynamic Holding Time (DHT) settings now available, I have added two default DHT settings to all servers. This change was made to reduce the number of blowout games and stalemate games. It was implemented yesterday before any games were played and the results have been positive so far.

Quote:DHT_score=1000 : Adds one second to a player's holding time for each cap over the opposing team's score (3-2 means 1 second added).
DHT_time=100 : Adds 100ms to a player's holding time for each minute of time elapsed in a timed game (1 second per 10 minutes).

For those who didn't read the post in the Maps section about the new settings, note that these particular settings do not affect the first spawn of each round. Players will always have the same holding time at the beginning of the round.

Also note that these are default settings and may be overridden by map settings. The vast majority of maps do not have a max DHT setting -- I checked about 60 CTA maps -- but the following, recently-played maps do have a max DHT setting which will prevent the defaults from working.

Does this only apply to CTAs or pubs as well?

Why was the regular DHT applied to pubs? In some maps, it makes flagging impossible unless you have the minimum number of players designed for that map. GO is basically unplayable in a 2vs2 setting now.

Only those 2 settings were applied at the server level, and they're only on when the game timer is set, so they do not apply in pubs. You're probably talking about DHT_players, which is a map setting, not a server setting. If you don't like it, use a map without that setting.

Btw, even the server settings can be overridden by map settings, as I pointed out in the first post.

The DHT_score setting has been changed to "score difference minus one".

In other words, if the score is 3-2 there is no additional holding time for either team. If the score difference is 4-2, then there is 1 additional second for the winning team.
